Owner and founder of Large Music, Jeff Craven, steps in to mix up the 8th edition of the Large Music Podcast. As a DJ, Jeff has played all over the world including Germany, Canada, France, England and Sweden. He was the opening DJ for jazz legend Herbie Hancock in Stockholm, and has played alongside Blue Note recording artist St. Germain at the Moulin Rouge in Paris. He has also appeared in almost every major club in Chicago including Smart Bar, Red Dog, Zentra, Spy Bar, Big Wig and Lava Lounge. Large Music artist Mathias Vogt is the featured artist for our 6th podcast. Matthias tracks consistently receive positive feedback of big name dj's like Jimpster, Joris Voorn, Sven Väth, Paul Woolford, Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink or Karotte. A DJ since the early nineties, Matthias experienced first hand dance music's fast growing and constantly altering change as a part of Frankfurt's vital club scene. Vogt holds a residency at Sven Väth’s Cocoonclub. He has also played gigs at clubs such as The End in London, Club 11 Amsterdam, Cielo New York, Arma 17 in Moscow. Furthermore, he has done plenty of dj-gigs in many countries around the world like Japan, Australia, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary and even Latvia. Derek Dunbar first caught our attention with the Drippin' Wet EP on Black Cherry Recordings in the summer of 2010. After dropping several more releases on top labels like Amenti and Golden State, Derek is now well-poised for his Large Music debut with his Disco Revival EP. A native of Detroit who now resides in downtown LA, Derek brings many elements of his urban musical upbringing and influences and combines them with a laid-back, classic West Coast vibe. His style is very distinctive...combining elements of Funk, Soul, Disco, Hip Hop and House to create electrifying and authentic dance floor grooves. One of the upcoming stars on the Large Music roster has been chosen to launch our official podcast. Jonn Hawley has been holding the deep house torch high in his native city of Milwaukee and was best known for his Sound Navigators moniker before his debut on Large Music, The Soul Dweller ep.
